Looks like you had fun! My mom and I were going to attend the First Night celebration that the College of William and Mary were sponsoring at Williamsburg, but we decided not to. Maybe another time...

I was supposed to go to a First Night celebration too...but it rained, so we stayed home and watched movies instead. Thanks for the pictures...I agree, your fireworks shots turned out great.

Just a note-I pixelated the first picture a little because I didn't want to give out the name of the town in IL, and you could still see it on the button even though I covered it up on the brochure. So that pics will look a little blurry on purpose. The others that came out blurry were because I was having indoor flash problems.

Oh-about the fireworks, I took a lot of other pics of fireworks and tried to pick the best ones out of a lot of others that didn't come out as well. Plus, my digital camera actually takes really good pics without a flash, and there have been times where I was inside but the pics came out better without a flash than with because the amount of light. I never had that with my other regular cameras.
A helpful hint: When you're taking pics of fireworks, it's always better to turn off the flash so your sky will look black and the fireworks will contrast well. Otherwise the sky becomes kind of grey and the fireworks don't come out as bright.
